These paintings depict the changing viewpoints of the white male and the Christian Church in Contemporary America. Having abused a powerful saint-like status, the white male now stands precariously. The Christian Church struggles to stay relevant as the grand narratives are deconstructed.
A simple version of handmade egg tempura was initially used because it was an inexpensive, non-commercialized product. When painted on the prepared panels with extruded plaster frames and gold-leafed elements, the paintings evoke lost icons from an early Christian period.
